Top 3 Social Networking Sites by Country June 2011
This table shows the rise of Twitter as the seond most popular social networking site after Facebook, with the biggest penetration experienced in France, Germany and US. The third most popular social networking site seems to be LinkedIn, but the network has fail to make any headway in Germany where Xing is still the top business social networking site in this country. Russia clearly stands out from the rest of the other countries with notable absence of Facebook and Twitter, with Russians preferring to connect with peers, friends and relatives on Russian developed social networkings sites such as V Kontakte and Odnoklassniki.
