Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
An organised shopping event for members of the London Girl Geek Dinners kicks off today in Regent Street, London. Then mix a hundred or so women who have an interest in technology, Twitter plus a little bit of geolocation tagging you then get trending happening on Twitter. Look out for #regenttweet on Twitter search. This has to be the ultimate highlight for the event organisers and Sister PR to have achieved trending on Twitter.
In the the past I have wondered what it actually takes to get a topic trending on Twitter. So basically you need a hundred plus users tweeting a unique hashtag over a period of time with a team of people at basecamp retweeting and encouraging activity. I guess having event incentives also helps too.
